Maintain Your Privacy. by Ralston "Skeeter" Heath.

Try always to maintain your privacy.  Do not talk aimlessly with others about things of interest to you.  Secrecy concerning your magick use is also advisable. You should not talk about casting spells, when you do all the power goes out of them. All spells have astral workings attached to them, when you talk to various random people about having used them; the energy which has been worked up in the spell is siphoned off and not replaced. Keep silent about your magick; Your business is your business.

The human being is egotistical, unfortunately, and wants to only know things that are of interest to him. This means that if you talk to your fellowman about the things that he desires and loves; you will influence him positively and will obtain from him all that you need. It is necessary to comprehend that all human beings have an “I” that wants to stand out, to make itself felt, to feel important. This is precisely the human being’s weakness. You also have that weak side. Whoever masters himself can also master others. It is necessary to learn to see the point of view.

As a user of magick it is our duty to our fellowman to help to solve their problems and conflicts; in this manner we also solve our own problems. Help others with your advice, do your best to understand others’ points of view. When we begin comprehending our
fellow men, we also begin to take the first steps on the path of happiness and success.

It is necessary to study and understand the functions of the mind. Whoever knows the
workings of the mind are in a position to control it. Controlling your own mind is of essential importance.  You must have some control of your own mind to be able cast spells.  You must only cast spells that are needed.  For if they are used indiscriminately, or if they are used in ignorance by the uninitiated, and without the proper workings, not only is it a waste of time, but can also have some horrific results.

However when used by the trained occultist, who performs magick with control, more power is worked up than is given off, and the spells become stronger.  That is why the spells, which have been used by trained adepts, are so extraordinarily powerful.

Much has been said about mental power and there are many schools that teach methods of the mind. Nobody can intelligently deny the power of thought. This force is made up of waves that move in the universe and cause change.  Even though we can not currently measure them, they are there.  An example is cellphone waves or satellite signals. We cannot see them but we know they exist. The same with our mental waves.  We all need to develop our marvelous power. Mind control is miraculous when combined with action.  What is this action? Simply stated it is the casting of spells.  Spell casting, or magick use, achieves marvels when it is based on sincerity and the truth. Do not attempt to deceive your fellowmen, because failure for you will be inevitable. When used to help others we ourselves benefit. That is the law of karma. (That will be a separate article)

Think of it as if learning to swim. You read the books and acquire all the information about swimming. You feel confident that you are able to swim but you still do not know what it is like to swim until you actually jump into the water.

2. Your Magick Power, by Ralston "Skeeter" Heath.

The following article presents  information on magick power. If you have a particular interest in magick power, then this short article is required reading.

When you're learning about something new, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of relevant information available. This informative article should help you focus on the central points.

If you base what you do on inaccurate information, you might be unpleasantly surprised by the consequences. Make sure you get the whole magick power story from informed sources.

The more authentic information about magick power you know, the more likely people are to consider you a magick power expert. Read on for even more magick power facts that you can share.

What are magick powers?  Magick powers are abilities, or skills a person has that are beyond normal human expectation and explanation. These magick powers generally come spontaneously, From birth, and most people with these abilities cannot perform them on command.   Then there are those who have been trained.  Either discovering the secrets themselves, or taught by a master.

Magick powers are generally abilities to know things that can't be known any other way, examples are mind reading  seeing farther, or more than the physical eye permits, or seeing/sensing the future. There are also abilities that send information, sending telepathy, mind control, talking with other worldly beings and so on would be just some examples of magick abilities. Some other powers are to be able to control temprature, wind direction, the growth of plants, and even the health and well being of animals and other people.

So how does one get magick abilities? For those of us that are not born with it, you will have to get your abilities through practice.  First comes knowledge, mixed with faith and practice, it becomes an ability.  Find knowledge where you can, absorb what you need, then practice until it becomes more than faith. A sure and certain ability.

Using our magick power we learn to control our surroundings and our fate.  Something to remember here is; what goes around comes around.  In more esoteric terms; you shall reap what you sow.  If you plant carrots you will grow carrots.  You cannot plant carrot seeds and expect grape vines. So the same for your actions.  If you do good things, then good things will come to you.

Everyone has magick abilities, some just naturally develop their powers, while others have to unlock them.   What does this mean to you?  That you can unlock the secrets of the universe, and change the world to your liking.

If you've picked some pointers about magick power that you can put into action, then by all means, do so. You won't really be able to gain any benefits from your new knowledge if you don't use it.

Knowing how something relates to the rest of the world is important too.  As your knowledge about magick power continues to grow, you will begin to see how magick power fits into the overall scheme of things.

3. Do Not Criticize. by Ralston "Skeeter" Heath

This is one key to a successful life: “Do not criticize anyone”. When you criticizes others you weaken yourself.  However the person who is critical of theirself from moment to moment is a giant.

To be successful in life. If you truly want to be successful, you should begin by being honest with yourself, recognizing your own behavior. When we recognize
our behavior we are on the path to correcting it. Everyone who corrects their own behavior is inevitably successful. The person who daily blames others for their failures and never recognizes their own self-destructive behavior will not be successful.
Whoever recognizes their own behavior can make a happy home.  The individual who comes to recognize their own mistakes can correct them and be successful in life.

Criticism is useless because it hurts the pride of others and provokes resistance. In the same light criticism provokes an inevitable reaction against its author. If you truly want to succeed, listen to this advice: “Thou shalt not criticize anyone”.   The person who knows how to live without criticizing, does not provoke resistance or reactions on the part of his fellow man, and consequently, creates an atmosphere of success and progress. On the other hand, those who do criticize others, have many enemies.

The world is full of critical people. The criticizing type is a faultfinder, irritable
In addition, intolerable. There are many other signs of this bad behavior: impatience, anger, egotism, arrogance, pride, etc. These people are called neurasthenic.

Every person who wants to succeed should be careful of falling into the danger of neurasthenia. The neurasthenic person criticizes everything and becomes unbearable. The neurasthenic despises patience.

As an employer they become the executioner of their employees. Workers who must work under the orders of a neurasthenic and faultfinding employer end up hating the job and the employer. No discontented worker works their best under diress.  Many times enterprises fail because the workers are discontented, dissatisfied and does not work efficiently because of the criticism they must endure.

On the other hand neurasthenic workers seek any occasion to criticize their employer. Employers have pride and vanity too, and it is obvious that they feel offended when their employees criticize them. The worker who is constantly criticizing their employer ends up losing their job.

We can conclude, then, that the one who criticizes others inevitably fails. The one who wants to correct others should best begin by correcting themselves. This gives better results and is less dangerous. Take care of your self. Work well but play well and get plenty of rest. Enjoy yourself wholesomely. Do not criticize anyone, but yourself.   Try to see the best in all human beings.  Take responsibility for your actions and you will soon have a happy healthy life.

4.The Power of Thought.  by Ralston "Skeeter" Heath

It is time to teach you a bit about the greatest power a human possesses: that is the power of thought. You think your own reality!

When you think about something, thought waves escape from your brain.  These waves are similar to those of a transmitter and these waves travel through space and cause a reaction on the universe.

Scientists have already begun to experiment with the power of thought, I read on another web site that an experiment with crystals was made, and it was proven that human thought affected the growth of those crystals.

You must know that just as we have a mind, the entire Universe also has one. The human mind and the cosmic mind exist. The earth is condensed mind. The entire Universe is condensed mind. The waves of the universal mind saturate the infinite space. The very fabric of existence is thought.

The first thing that an architect who designs a house does is to create the project in thought, then he/she projects it on paper as a drawing, lastly the house crystallizes. Thus, everything, every building first existed in the mind. Nothing can exist in the physical or material world in which we live without first having existed in the world of the mind.

It is becoming necessary to for all people to learn how to concentrate and project thoughts with precision. To learn to concentrate, that is to fix your attention on a single thing. When you fix your attention on a task, when you concentrate on that task, you can be certain that your brain emits powerful thought waves that will effect the very substance of the universe.

It is important for you to truly concentrate.  To shut out other thoughts that are capable of distracting you. You should learn how to concentrate your mind. You believe that you want to succeed in life and have health, money and love.  Most people do. Reflect a little, learn how to handle the force of thought. When you learn how to handle the power of thought you can then proceed to success with certainty.  Just as the arrow guided by the hand of the expert archer reaches its target.

Remember that the world is a product of thought. You are what you are because of the thoughts you have had. You can totally change yourself by making use of the power of thought. Each person projects into the world of the cosmic mind what he/she is and what he or she wants to be. The projection of the mind crystallizes the physical and then we have a life that is rich or miserable, happy or wretched. Everything depends on the type of mental projections that we have crystallized.

If the thoughts have been done with sufficient concentration, followed up with actions, the result will be success. Try it today, think of only one thing that you desire, let no other thoughts interfere, and you will see your thoughts turned into reality.

5. Money.
by Ralston "Skeeter" Heath
Why has money assumed such an importance in our lives?
Do we depend on it for our own psychological happiness?
All human beings need food, clothing and shelter. These are the facts of life. So why is it that these basic needs, which are so natural and simple for even the birds, has become so important with levels of meaning?  I once saw a bumper sticker on a high end SUV that read: “He who dies with the most toys, Wins”.

Money has assumed such an exaggerated value because we psychologically depend on it. Money nourishes our personal vanity, gives us social prestige, and gives us the means to achieve power. We need money to have food, clothing and shelter; that much is obvious. However when we have a psychological need for money, when we depend on it to obtain fame, prestige, social position, etc., then money assumes an exaggerated importance and this is where the struggle and the conflict to possess it originates.

It is logical that we have a need to obtain money to satisfy our physical needs.  But if we depend on money exclusively for our own happiness and personal satisfaction, then we are the most wretched beings in the universe.

Money in itself is not good or bad; everything depends on the use we make of it. If we
use it for good, it is good. If we use it for evil, it is evil. We need to comprehend in depth the true nature of sensation and satisfaction. The mind that wants to arrive at the truth should be free of these obstacles. If we truly want to be free, we must learn the difference and sum of sensation and satisfaction.  We must begin with those sensations that are familiar to us and establish a base foundation.  Sensations have their suitable place and when we comprehend them profoundly in all the levels of the mind, they do not assume that stupid distortion they now have.

The human being is very poor internally and that is why he has a need for money to possess things for his own stimulation and personal satisfaction. When one is poor internally, externally he seeks money and things to complete himself and to find satisfaction. That is why money has assumed a disproportionate value and the human being is prepared to steal, to exploit, and to lie at every instant. The struggle between employers and employees, between exploiters and the exploited, etc., is due to that.

All political changes are useless if we do not understand our own internal poverty. Economic systems can change again and again, the social system can be altered again and again, but if we do not learn the nature of our inner poverty, the individual will always create new ways and means to obtain personal satisfaction at the expense of others.

It is urgent that we understand the inner nature of self, to be internally wealthy. Those who are internally rich are not capable of exploiting their fellowman. Yes, even
incapable of stealing and lying. Whoever is internally wealthy is free of the obstacles of personal satisfaction and sensation. Whoever is internally wealthy has found happiness.

Not to sound confusing but we do need money. We need to be able to comprehend our exact relationship with it. We need to know what our exact relationship with money is. It is not through renouncing money, nor coveting it, that we can understand our exact relationship with it. We need this comprehension to intelligently recognize our own material needs without disproportionately depending on money.  When we know our exact relationship with money, the pain of detachment and the frightening suffering that is produced by competition ends. We should learn to differentiate between our immediate physical needs and psychological dependence on things. Psychological dependence on material things creates exploitation and slavery.

We need money to cover our immediate physical needs. Unfortunately we put levels on our needs and we become greedy. The internal self wants to become rich externally since
it is poor and miserable. The internal wants to make itself felt, to dazzle its fellowman with material things and money. This then is the secret cause of hatred and the brutalities of this world. This is the cause of war and of all the miseries of this world.

If we want to do away with the pain of the world, we should learn that the world is within our own selves. We think, therefore we are, and we create the world. Really, all individuals live within their own consciousness. The world is within the individual, and only by doing away with the misery that we carry within, will the suffering in the world end. Only by comprehending the complex process in all the levels of the mind can we arrive at experiencing the Great Reality.

So go and earn your money.  Do it fairly and with style.  Give fair value for what you trade. Earn what you need for the necessities of life. Do not take from others what is theirs.  Do not take their share as well as yours; Let everyone earn and keep what they need, and we will all be able to move on to greater pursuits.

6. How To Solve Your Problems.
by Ralston "Skeeter" Heath

In life, everybody faces problems daily. Each person needs to know how to solve their problems.

Many problems exist. There is economic, social, moral, political, religious, mental, and so on.  Here in this short article we will learn solve our problems. The solution for every problem can be found within the problem itself.

The important thing to is to not become identified with the problem. People have a tendency to become identified with their problem and this identification is so intense that we become the problem. The result of this is that we fail to find a solution because by being a problem we cannot solve a problem.  Have you ever heard the old saying that two wrongs do not make a right? Well, a problem can never solve another problem.

If you have a serious problem, do not become the problem, but realize this great truth: A problem cannot exist without a solution, and a solution can not exist without a problem. . You need to have a measure of mental calm to solve a problem. An unsure, panicked, or confused mind simply cannot solve any problem.

Try this as an experiment. Go find a fifth grade math book and open it to the first set of practice problems that you find.  Find a friend or your spouse and have them yell at you.  Tell them to be really mean and loud, to get in your face.  No holds barred (conversationally speaking) and try to do the math problems. Time it for ten minutes.  Now after you let your feelings recover, have your friend or spouse talk smoothly and gently, play some soothing music.  Now do the math problems, again for ten minutes.

You will find that when you were calm you were able to easily and accurately work and solve the math problems. When you were a bit stressed you could not concentrate and may have done only a few and probably got those wrong.  So? You ask. What this does is demonstrate that you cannot solve a problem with a problem.

So now you must find a way to calm yourself mentally.  Go find yourself any healthy place: your back porch, a city park, the beach, etc. Distract yourself with something different, some gentle music and then, calm your self to be at peace.  Do not worry about anything except what is happening right now.  Ignore any attempts to remember yesterday, or to speculate on tomorrow.  Simply realize where you are right now.  Try to cause your brain to be still.  Suddenly you will feel relaxed and peaceful. When you become aware of this feeling, memorize it!  It is paramount that you remember this calm.

Now, again, I remind you that the solution to every problem is within the problem. Remember that without peace you cannot do anything new. You need calm and peace to solve the problem. In modern life we have many problems, and unfortunately, we do not always have peace. This is a true puzzle, a conundrum, because we cannot solve problems without being calm. We need to investigate what the principal factor is that puts an end to peace within and outside ourselves; we need to discover what causes the conflict. If we comprehend the cause of an illness, we cure the patient. If we know the cause of the conflict, we solve our problems.

If we carefully analyze ourselves, we discover that a constant state conflict exists within us: what we want to be and what we actually are. We are poor and we want to be millionaires, we are soldiers and we want to be generals, we are single and want to be married, we are employees and we want to be managers, etc. The state of contradiction engenders conflict, pain, moral misery, absurd actions, violence, gossip, jealousy, hatred, and prejudice, etc. Shall I do this? Or that, or the other? how? when? etc.  Mental contradiction creates conflicts and frustrates the solution of problems. This state of conflict can never bring us peace. A person without peace can never solve their problems.

So first we need to solve the causes of the contradictions, then to finish with the conflicts.  Now you ask “But what if you do not have time to find the cause”? This is why you had to know what peace felt like. Calm yourself and remember what the feeling of peace felt like.  Maintain that feeling.  Now look again at the problem and make your decision. This only takes a few seconds, and with practice soon becomes almost instant. This way will peace arrive and, with it, the solutions of the problems.

Do not try to blame others for our contradictions; the causes of these contradictions are within us. Mental conflict exists between what we are and what we want to be, between what a problem is and what we want it to be. When we have a problem of any kind our first reaction is to think about it, resist it, deny it, accept it, explain it, etc. It is necessary to understand that with mental anguish, worry, or confusion, it is not possible to solve any problem. The best way to react to a problem is with silence. This silence comes by not thinking about the problem. The silence comes when we realize that there is nothing to solve without a problem. Without a problem a solution can not exist. This silence arrives when we realize that resisting it solves no problem. From mental peace intelligent action is created the intuitive and wise action that will solve the problem no matter how difficult it might be is born. This intelligent action is not the result of any reaction. When we perceive the problem, when we notice the fact without affirming it, denying it, or explaining it, when we do not accept the fact, or reject it, then the silence of the mind arrives. Intuition flourishes with mental peace. From silence the intelligent action that totally solves the problem bursts forth. Only in mental silence and quietude is there freedom and wisdom.

Mental conflict is destructive and ruinous and is a result of opposed desires: we want and we do not want. We are in constant contradiction and this, in fact, is conflict. The constant contradiction that exists within us is due to the struggle of opposite desires. There is a constant transition of one desire for another desire.  A permanent desire does not exist in the human being. Every longing is temporary; you want a job and after you have it, you desire a different job. The employee wants to be a manager; the priest wants to be a bishop. Nobody is satisfied with what they have. Everybody is full of unsatisfied desires and everybody wants satisfaction.  Life is an absurd succession of fleeting and vain desires. When we at last see that all the desires in life are fleeting and vain, when we comprehend that desire is the cause of our conflicts and bitterness, when we understand that, then true peace of mind is born and conflicts disappear and true peace arrives.

7. The Rules of Being a User of Magick.
by Ralston "Skeeter" Heath

There are a few rules to magick.  I will give a brief breakdown, but for the most part I will leave these to your own interpretation.  Now I know you hate rules and requirements. So do I, but you must be aware of them so that this works for you.  Look at it this way; I have reduced years of studying down to a few pages.  Read the rules, acknowledge them and get on with it..

The first rule is: Do that which is right. As I said before this means to always do the right thing.  This rule applies to all areas of your life and not just to the magick areas. The bible says it best: “do unto others as you would have done to you”.

The second rule is: Always be sincere, and always do your best. A half hearted attempt at magick will result in dismal and undesirable effects.  This applies in your whole life, not just your secret life.

The third rule is:  “To thine own self be true”.  This means hold yourself accountable to yourself.  Be who you are, because you are you.  You can not be someone else, as they are already taken.  Be yourself.  Do not compromise your morals and values for the sake of someone else.  It is your life, not theirs.

The fourth rule is: Keep your words true.  Speak with integrity, say what you mean and mean what you say.

The fifth rule is: Look after yourself.  It is your responsibility to take care of yourself.  If you need a bath, take one, or you are hungry, eat. It is you who must do these things for you.  You must provide for yourself and not be a drain on others.
“He that waits upon fortune, is never sure of dinner”.   Benjamin Franklin

The sixth rule is: Help only those that you can. This one is a bit vague, I will try to explain it as I understand it. You cannot help everyone in the whole world.  You can however help your neighbor or your friend.  Then again, if your friend or neighbor does not want help, or is irascible, then do not try to help him.  If you have too many that need help, then help only those that will actually benefit from your help.

The seventh rule: Be courageous, avoid trepidation.  This means to learn what you should do and do it. No fear. No explanations. No apologies

The eight rule: As you sow, so shall you reap. To say this in larger terms: What goes around, comes around..  If you spread negative stuff then it will come back to bite you.  If you spread positive stuff it will come back to bless you. This is also known to some as karma, but we won’t go there just yet.

There is also a “LAW” that some teach.  I like it so I will add it here: “Do as thou will”.  There is a similar saying from another organization that says “Harm none, but do as you will”.  The “Do as you will” has a deeper meaning than you initially think.  Your will is what can control the effects of the ether.  Sometimes you have to “will” something into existence. You have to be forthright and able to take the actions needed to accomplish the task, to get the results that you “will”.

Right now I know you are thinking, “this is a lot of crap to have to read through just so I can learn how to use real magick and make my life a little better”. Well, you are right.  Fortunatly for you I am a very conciencious teacher.  I want you to be a success at this.  A house without a foundation does not stand long.  Without a base to this practice you will not last long either.  You must have a fundamental understanding of a few basics before you can ride the dragon.  If you do not, then the dragon will eat you.  So go and re-read all the rulesr. I only highlighted the important stuff so you will have a base on which to build.  You still need some fundamental background.  Like when you went to drivers education in school.  You had to learn the traffic laws before you got into the drivers seat.  So it is with magick.  Without a basic understanding of the forces at work, you will only crash.
Make this a must learn page and read it often.

8. What is God?
by Ralston "Skeeter" Heath

There are many names and descriptions of God.  Rather than do a historical thesis about the names and roles of God I will attempt to explain to you what God is and is not. God is different to every person individually.  No one person can give God a definitive and thus limiting definition.  Other writers of various religious books have said that God is everywhere. They have also continued with such clues that God is eternal, all powerful, all knowing, etc.… How can this be? Well what follows is the knowledge that I have gleaned and here I am sharing with you.  Take it or leave it, I can never hope to convince you of a different belief system and am not trying to.  I am simply attempting to show you a better way of thinking about God.

In short, God is a substance. I know you are thinking, “that is a bit obvious” but allow us examine that a bit more closely.

The dictionary defines Substance as: “that which underlies all outward manifestations; the essence; the real or essential part of anything, the essential reality; the matter of which a thing consists, solid or substantial quality of the thing in itself, consistency, body, the real meaning”.

The dictionary shows the meaning of Substantial to be: “having substance, actually existing; being the essential element; being real, having reality”.

The dictionary explains the meaning of Reality is: “the quality or fact of being real, the state of being real; true, enduring, valid, fixed, permanent, actual”.

So to define God as a substance requires a bit more extrapolation.  Under and behind all outward appearance, there is a substantial reality. Something else makes up what we see.  This is just the way it is.

What we see is not what we are really seeing.  We may see a rock, but it actually a small piece of something that was once much larger, and is made of a substance we do not know.  It may be granite right now to us, but it was made from something else that we are unaware of. On the other extreem;
We humans when considering the Universe, of which we are but a unit of, see nothing but change in matter, forces, and mental states. We see nothing that really IS, but that everything that is BECOMING and CHANGING. Nothing stands still–everything is being born, growing, dying, and moving.  The very instant a thing reaches its zenith it then begins to decline. This is the law of rhythm. Rhythm is in constant operation, there is no reality, enduring quality, or substantiality.

Nothing is permanent but Change. We see all things evolving from other things,
and resolving into other things, a constant action and reaction, inflow and outflow; building up and tearing down; creation and destruction; birth, growth and death. Nothing endures but Change. Moreover, if we be a thinking people, we realize that all of these changing things must be merely outward appearances or manifestations of some Underlying Power, some substantial
Reality.

All great thinkers, in all lands and in all times, have assumed the necessity for postulating the existence of this Substantial Reality. All philosophies worthy of the name have been based upon this thought. The human race has given to this Substantial Reality many names, some have called it by the term Deity, or God (under many titles); others have called it “The Infinite and Eternal Energy”; others have tried to call it “Matter” but all have acknowledged its existence,
It is self-evident and it needs no argument.

Some of the world's greatest thinkers, both ancient and modern Masters have called this Underlying Power, this Substantial Reality by the name of “THE ALL,” and some have said the Substantial Reality has called itself “I Am”.  This term we should consider the most comprehensive of the many terms applied by us to that which transcends all names and every term.

We have to accept the view of those whom assert that the inner nature of “THE ALL” is UNKNOWABLE. This must be so, for nothing but “THE ALL” itself
can comprehend its own nature and being.  We have to understand and believe that “THE ALL”, in itself, is and must ever be UNKNOWABLE. The regard for all the theories, guesses and speculations of all the theologians, priests, and metaphysicians regarding the inner nature of “THE ALL”, as nothing but childish efforts of our mortal minds to grasp the secret of the Infinite. Such efforts have always failed and always will.   If we were to pursue such trains of thought we would travel around and around in the labyrinth of thought, until we are lost to all sane reasoning, action or conduct, and become totally unfit for the work of life. The example would be like the hamster which frantically runs around the treadmill wheel of its cage. Moving and expending effort and yet getting nowhere, and at the end still a prisoner, ending just where it started.

Still even more silly are those of us who attempt to ascribe to “THE ALL” the  personality, qualities, properties, characteristics and attributes of themselves. Attempting to give to “THE ALL” human emotions, feelings, and characteristics. Some even lower “THE ALL” down to the pettiest qualities of mankind, such as jealousy, susceptibility to flattery, praise, desire for offerings, worship, and all the other leftovers from the earliest days of our race. Such ideas are not worthy of grown men and women, and are rapidly being discarded.

We can no more give attributes to God than our own blood cells could say they are human.  A blood cell has a certain part to play in our life.  Without the blood cell we could still function, but without our human form the blood cell could not function.  We can not say we are God, we are but a part of “THE ALL” and without it we could not exist, but “THE ALL” can and does continue to exist without us.  For the blood cell to comprehend the human would be as impossible a task as humans trying to comprehend “THE ALL”.  Another example would be the sculptor and statue.  The statue could not exist without first the sculptor creating it.  Yet the statue can not create the sculptor but is a part of the sculptor as it would not exist except the for sculptor.  For the statue to claim that because it was created, it is like the sculptor would be absolutely preposterous as it cannot create like the sculptor did...

Here is where I must digress and discuss a human tendency, namely Religion, Theology, Philosophy, and Metaphysics.  At this point, let us discuss that there is a distinction between Religion and Theology as well as between Philosophy and Metaphysics.

Religion, means that institutional realization of the existence of “THE ALL”, and what we are told is our relationship to it, as well as the assumption of the office of middle-men between “THE ALL” and the people.
Theology means the attempts of men to ascribe personality, qualities, and characteristics to it.  The theories regarding its affairs, will, desires, plans, and designs.
Philosophy means the inquiry after knowledge of things knowable and thinkable.
Metaphysics means the attempt to carry the inquiry over and beyond the boundaries and into regions unknowable and unthinkable, and with the same tendency as that of Theology.
Thus consequently, both Religion and Theology means having roots in only our reality, while Philosophy and Metaphysics try to delve into areas we can never know, rooted in the quicksand of ignorance, and giving us nothing but the most insecure support for the mind or soul of Man.
So while the essential nature of “THE ALL” is Unknowable, there are certain truths connected with its existence which the human mind finds itself compelled to accept.

That which is the Fundamental Truth, the Substantial Reality, is beyond true naming, but the Wise Men call it “THE ALL”. In its Essence, “THE ALL” is UNKNOWABLE.

So let us discuss some of the fine points you may have missed.
1. THE ALL must be ALL that REALLY IS. There can be nothing existing outside of THE ALL, else THE ALL would not be THE ALL.
2. THE ALL must be INFINITE, for is nothing else to define, confine, bound, limit or restrict THE ALL.
3. It must be Infinite in Time, or ETERNAL. It must have always continuously existed, for there is nothing else to have ever created it, and something can never evolve from nothing. If it had ever “not been,” even for a moment; it would not “be” now. It must continuously exist forever, for there is nothing to destroy it, and it can never “not-be,” even for a moment. Because something can never become nothing.
4. It must be Infinite in Space. It must be Everywhere, for there is no place outside of THE ALL, it cannot be otherwise than continuous in Space, without break, cessation, separation, or interruption.  For there is nothing to break, separate, or interrupt its continuity and nothing with which to “fill in the gaps.” 5. It must be Infinite in Power, or Absolute, for there is nothing to limit, restrict, restrain, confine, disturb or condition it.  It is subject to no other Power, for there is no other Power.
6. THE ALL must be IMMUTABLE, or not subject to change in its real nature, for there is nothing to work changes upon it; nothing into which it could change, nor from which it could have changed. It cannot be added to nor subtracted from; increased nor diminished; nor become greater or lesser in any respect whatsoever.
7. It must have always been, and must always remain, just what it is now, THE ALL. There has never been, is not now, and never will be, anything else into which it can change.

THE ALL being Infinite, Absolute, Eternal and Unchangeable it must follow that anything finite, changeable, fleeting, and conditioned cannot be THE ALL. In addition as there is Nothing outside of THE ALL. In reality then, any and all such finite things must be as Nothing in reality. Now do not become confused, or frightened. There is a reconciliation of this apparently contradictory state of affairs.

We see around us that which is called “Matter,” which forms the physical foundation for all forms. Is THE ALL merely matter? No it cannot be matter! Matter cannot manifest Life or Mind, and as Life and Mind are manifested in the Universe. THE ALL cannot be Matter, for nothing rises higher than its own source, nothing is ever manifested in an effect that is not in the cause.  Nothing is evolved as a consequence that is not involved as an antecedent.

Then Modern Science informs us that there is really no such thing as Matter, that which we call Matter is merely “interrupted energy or force,” that is, energy or force at a low rate of vibration.  Then is THE ALL mere Energy or Force? Not Energy or Force as the scientists use the term.  For energy and force are blind, mechanical things, devoid of Life or Mind. Life and Mind can never evolve from blind Energy or Force, for the reason given a moment ago.  So THE ALL cannot be mere Energy or Force, for, if it were, then there would be no such things as Life and Mind in existence.   We know better than that, for we are Alive and using Mind to consider this very question, and so are those who claim that Energy or Force is Everything.

What is there then higher than Matter or Energy?  LIFE AND MIND! Life and Mind in all their varying degrees! “Then,” you ask, “do you mean to tell us that THE ALL is LIFE and MIND?” Yes and No.  If you mean Life and Mind as we poor mortals know them, then No! THE ALL is not that! “But what kind of Life and Mind do you mean?” you ask.

The answer is “LIVING MIND, as far above mortals, as Life and Mind are higher than mechanical forces.  INFINITE LIVING MIND as compared to finite Life and Mind.” This is the Paradox of the Universe. The answer is that which the illuminated souls mean when they reverently pronounce the word: “SPIRIT!”
“THE ALL” is Infinite Living Mind, the Illuminated call it SPIRIT!

#9 The Power of The Pen. by Ralston "Skeeter" Heath
Throughout the ages a pen has symbolized power.  It is far more than a simple symbol but its true meaning has faded with the passage of time.  There is a saying that the pen is more powerful than the sword.  This is so true, but the meaning has twisted slightly over the ages, in that people think it is a metaphor for written words that cause change rather than force.  What it really means is that a sword has but a single use.  It can be magical if certain spells and runes are used when creating it, but still only one use.  While the pen has a natural power that can and will change lives without force or violence.  I can be used as a power for change without violence.  It has many uses. Yes I suppose you could stab someone with it, but that would be a last resort kind of thing. The mighty pen changes lives in many ways, sometimes without people knowing it. The pen has power.  Very real magick power.
Our predecessors knew the power of a pen and honored it.  They realized what good use it can be put to.  Then over the years the teaching has faded, and even the common knowledge has faded and changed.  Now days the pen sybolizes positional power.  The better the pen the higher up the ladder.
Look around at your world.  What is the best way to spot someone who is in a position of power?  They have a pen.  When you go to a store and all the employees have the same uniform how do you tell who the manager is?  That person who has pens in their pocket.  The same goes for the military, if you do not know the markings of rank, look for the person with a pen in their pocket and more often than not that is the leader. Pens also have the ability to confer status.  A person with a gold pen obviously has a higher status than a person with a cheep pen that is bought in packs.
The pen also symbolizes creativity.  Most famous authors carry a fine pen, and those that do not instead carry a pen that has a meaning to that individual.  The pen is also a symbol of organization.  Every accountant I have ever met had a pen or two in their pocket.  They use the pen to keep track of things, not just to carry around.
One thing in common with all these is that the pen is used to write.  I know that may seem obvious, but some people get a pen and never use it.  The pen was given to them on graduation or as gift for some reason and they put it away as a keepsake. They may find it a few years later and reminisce, but then they put it away again.  They neglect the power that they have been given, by treating it as a knick-knack rather than the true powerful item that it is.  What a waste!
When a person buys a pen they intend to use it as a tool. This is normal use. No special power is in these pens.  They will be used and when the ink is gone they will be thrown away.  These pens are not special, and have no power.  However a pen that is given as a gift has power.  The receiver had no say in the color or size, or even the style.  The new owner has no idea about the amount of ink, or when it may run out.  The person who has the pen only knows if was a gift from someone for something special, and so the pen becomes special and inherits a power.
The true power of a pen is that it is used to write.  Again this may seem obvious, but it is what you write with it that matters.  Some people use their special pen to write checks to pay bills.  They notice that their bills always get paid, but there are always more bills.  Some people use their pen to write letters, and they get a lot of mail. Yet others use their pen to take messages from the phone and so they get a lot of phone calls. The pen may be used to fill out bet sheets and lotto cards, that person will be luckier than most and may even call it his lucky pen.
Most will think it unusual, but never make the connection.  The pen has a power, and will create more of what you use it for.  It is the one true item that becomes magical just in its giving.
Sure there are talismans, and charms, but those have to be created by the user.  Some are created for other people, but when they are sold they lose a great deal of their power. Not the mighty pen.  It is not created for a certain purpose, it is created only to write. When it is given away it becomes an item of power.  Almost more powerful than a heavily seasoned and used wand or staff.  That would be an unfair comparison as they have totally different uses, buy I wanted to try to impress upon you the amount of power that a gift pen possesses.
A pen given to you as a gift is a truly great gift. It has so much power that it will change your life even without you realizing it.  For those of us who know what it can do, the pen can make a huge difference when used for a defining purpose.
When you are given a pen, especially a nice one that comes in its own box, make sure you seriously thank the person who gave it to you.  That person may think it a bit strange that you groveled on the floor and kissed their feet, but they will know what to get you in the future.  Seriously though, make sure you express your gratitude for the pen, and make that person feel as if they have given you the best gift you have ever received.  (For in truth, they have)  It is this spirit of gratitude that gives the pen even more power. So to sum up so far, if it has been given it has power, but if you are grateful for it, and the giver knows you are grateful, then the pen becomes that much more powerful.
So what do you do with a gift pen?  Well, that is the why I am writing this lesson.  I will try my best to help you understand the potential, and power that a gift pen has.
Let us start from the top.  First the pen was given to you for a special reason, such as graduation, or a holiday, or because you just won an event, etc. etc. etc.  Then you expressed your gratitude for this fine piece of workmanship and beauty.  Now you have an item of power that will change your life.  If you received a pen in the past, go find it, look at it with admiration, then call or write the person who gave it to you and make sure they know how thankful you are for that pen.  This will re-energize the pen and it will be as strong as the day you received it.
Now what to use it for?  Here you need to decide.  Do you want to be a famous author?  Use the pen to write stories.  Do you want to be a respected scientist, use the pen to write your research papers.  Do you want to be successful in your business, then use the pen for your business.  Do you see where I am going with this?  The pen will amplify and cause more of what you are using it for.
Use the pen for something you want more of.  Once you have used the pen a few times for that purpose, then it will tune in and start to make more of it happen.  Do you have more than one thing in your life you want more of?  Something else you can do is to use more than one pen.  For example a pen just to write love letters (bringing more love), and another pen to write stories with (making some long enough to get published). Use one to write ideas, thus making you have even more ideas.  Then yet another for balancing your books and keeping track of money (bringing more money) Be careful on that last one for if you concentrate on the amount of bills as opposed to the amount of money, you will cause the pen to bring you more bills. Above all the pen can be used to cast spells making the spell far more likely to succeed and the results to appear faster.
So what to do with the pen when not using it?  Just carry it with you.  Have a small pad of paper that will fit in your pocket or purse and when the urge strikes you, use the pen.  Avoid at all cost using the pen for negative uses.  If you do the negative will flow into your life.  More and more until you can no longer take the stress.  Realize that you can train the pen to bring different results but that takes time and effort on your part.  So just don’t be negative with it. (just say no)  Remember your special pen is changing your life whether you want it to or not. Therefore, you may as well use it towards your goals.
So go find your special pen.  If you do not have one then suggest it as a gift for the holiday.  Once you have it, look at it and ponder to yourself what great things you can do with this pen.  Set a purpose for your pen and use towards that goal.  You will be pleasantly surprised and how easy it was to do it.  Soon you will have a special pen for many different tasks.  A pen for writing letters, a pen for taking notes, an pen for casting spells, and so on.
I hope this short article has been of some assistance to you.  Please feel free to pass it on to anyone you think may use this knowledge.

The Law of Karma by Ralston "Skeeter" Heath

This Law supposedly originated in the orient and thus its name is more familiar in eastern philosophies than in western. The word karma is known in the Orient and to millions of people in the entire world. Many people know of it and the theory of karma.

Karma is the law of reciprocation.  It has been said many different ways. Examples are “you reap what you sow”, “what goes around comes around”, and “you get what you give”.  The best I have ever heard is “your future is caused by your choices” and “you pay what you owe and get paid what you earn”.

Like it or not this law is universal. That’s right, this law operates in the whole universe. It affects everyone all the time.  What people aren’t realizing is that it is not just actions that cause reactions; it is also your thoughts.   If you misuse the power of thought, the Law of Karma will fall upon you and you will be horribly punished. Punished is such a limited word, to explain a bit better; you will be subject to the opposite that you desire. I am not saying that terrible ray of Cosmic Justice will inevitably fall upon you like a ray of vengeance.  What I am saying is that you will attract undesirable circumstances and situations.

Everything you do should be done for the greater good.  Not just for yourself, but for you and yours.  This means for all people that are affected by your existence.  You should do and think such that all around you benefit as well as yourself, not just yourself.  Realize that everything you do and think has an effect.  If you do good things you get good things, if you do wrong, you get bad.

If you want to be surrounded by good circumstances, then recognize the good qualities of others. Stimulate the good qualities of your fellows, do not humiliate anyone, and do not despise anyone. It is necessary to encourage each other. By means of appreciation and encouragement we can awaken enthusiasm in all those people that we affect.

“The sincere appreciation of the merits of one’s fellowman is one of the greatest secrets of success”. Samael Aun Weor

One of the first things to do is to stop the bad habit of talking about ourselves at every moment. You should abandon the terrible habit of talking about yourself and telling the story of your life at every turn. Talking about yourself all the time makes you unbearable. Then people begin to avoid you.  Persons like this fall into misery because people become tired of them.  Stop seeking sympathy and give praise to your circle of friends and family. It is good to strengthen and encourage the good qualities of our associates

The next thing to do is stop say “I;” always say “we.” The term “we” has more cosmic power. The term “I” is egotistical and tires all those who are exposed to us. The “I” is a creator of conflicts and problems. Always repeat: “we, we, we.” This strengthens the bond between you and yours.

Start giving praise and soon you will receive it in return.  This is the perfect example of karma at work.  Try it you will like it.

To borrow a bit more from Samael Aun Weor;
“Every morning before getting out of bed, with force and energy say, ‘We are strong. We
are rich. We are filled with luck and harmony. Om, Om, Om.” Recite this every day and you will soon see that you will be prosperous in everything”.

It works, and like everything, it is part of our karma.  Send out positive and you will receive positive. Imagine seeing happy faces everywhere you go.  Imagine that people are happy to see you coming.  That people will cross the street to meet you.  Wouldn’t that be a great place to be?
